The After-Effect of Plan11 (Reaffirming God’s Calling)

During 31st Aug – 3 Sep, i went to a conference in Port Dickson organized by Malaysian Center for Global Missions (MCGM) which is The Plan11 Conference held once every two years!

It is a mission oriented conference where there are some full packed of programs ready to help stretch our Vision for God, Stretch our Heart for People and Stretch our Capacity to bring forth His work. Many practicing missionaries from various fields are there to help inspire the new generation and ignite the passion within.

In short, i must say that this conference is indeed an eye-opening exposure for me where i’m being exposed to various opportunities and some real missionary stories as well. I’ve contact with these wonderful people personally, listening to their hardship as well as their reverence for God.

This conference do really inspire, encourage and motivate me to DO something! Stop Procrastinating and Just Do It!! God uses this conference to reaffirm His calling upon me.

Before this, many people thought that by doing mission, we have to go either Africa, Zimbabwe or some remote countries and the end of the world!! It is certainly not now… God has given me a Heart for Malaysia. I love Malaysia as what it is, I love the People of Malaysia, I love my Family and i love my Friends.

I used to think like how the other thousands of Malaysian think, where we long to leave this country as soon as possible and migrate to U.S, U.K or some other places. But God share His vision with me of how Unique Malaysia is to Him, How important and How much HE cares for Malaysia! Malaysia alone is a Giant Mission Field and there a plenty of opportunities lying all over Malaysia to carry out HIS work, we just have to open our eyes and heart to look for them. And thanks GOD….that HE has open up my eyes to see this.

I used to condemn the Over-Flowing of Foreigners into our country especially when i witness it myself in Central Market – Pude area where the Mind-boggling numbers of foreigners trigger my repulsive nature against it. I’m not against the foreigners themselves.. I’m against the poor policy and control of government in handling the amount of foreigners in.

Again, God envisioned me that all this is part of HIS Master Plan and HIS wisdom reflects through this so call “Poor Policy” that i used to think. When i think carefully and more thoroughly, i’m just amazed in how GOD can actually work through situation where we think it’s against us… Look at the amount of foreigners again! How many of them are reached? How many of them have heard the Good News?? God has already help to lessen our burden by bringing them in instead of us going out to the end of the world to carry out HIS mission. We have Filipino, Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Siamese, Burmese, Myanmar, Middle Eastern, Indonesian, African, Malawian, so on and so forth.. You name it and they are here!! God brings all of them here!!

God brings them to Malaysia for a reason, because Malaysia is an Unique and very strategic place to  DO HIS work! Malaysia has actually quite a strong support of Christian community and Missionary works. We are a country that is economically and politically stable and are consider well to do. Most importantly, we are also a place that has Freedom of Worship! Unlike some other places where mission is or even praising God is strictly prohibited, it may be a matter of prosecution and works like these has to be carried out underground.

# I’m thrilled and are eager to unveil more of God’s plan in-store for Malaysia.. I’m excited to hop on this journey with the Lord and see how God would steer us towards HIS direction in bringing the nation back to HIM and celebrate victory with Him! I pray and i envision the day to come… God Bless this Nation. Amen.

My comments in a photography forum :)

All these photos are not taken by me.. It’s from a photography forum (photomalaysia) where one of the forumer posted these pictures and ask for comments and criticism. So somehow i feel inspired to write down some quite lengthy comments for him.. hee… Below are the pictures and follow by my comments. Just to share la… XD

Just my personal opinion here. I don’t really see much depth in your pictures. What great about them is that you have a good looking model, period.

Composition wise is still lacking something soulful, intriguing and provoking elements in it.. You could learn to instruct the model for better pose – more sexy, connecting, charisma & etc.

I realize that most of the photos are taken from only one level of perspective, may be you could shot from above, below… and had the model to interact with some of the objects, surrounding you could find… as most of your photos are of the same background which makes it quite monotonous.. Choices of background is essential too!

One more thing, may be it’s just me. I found that i don’t really appreciate photos that are slanted except some that are meant for creative purposes and have been executed perfectly. To be honest to say that i do not find that in your photos. I found all the slanted or tilted photos to be quite difficult to view/focus and somehow…just don’t feel right.

Oh another one, regarded to composition. For the second pic, if you could place your model on the right and leave more space on the left, the whole picture will look more balance. As the model is looking left, and if you still put her in the far end of left, just right beside the border of the frame… it will seems like she’s going to fall off the left end.. or fall “out” of the frame.. thus creating the sense of imbalance.. Positioning your subject in the frame is crucial and should be very careful about that.

As i continue to grow in photography, i do not concentrate on technical part too much anymore. It is because i realize that if your photos are not appealing, interesting, creative, soulful, etc enough… No matter how technically good your photos are, they are still not worthwhile or just plain dull… I speak of this is not because i’m good at it, it’s because i realize the importance of it and is still striving to master it…

Sorry if i did not put my choices of words good enough, but i meant for a good and sincere purposes.

Cheers mate and lets improve our photography skills more together 🙂

Best Regards, Andrew

Mark – Chapter 13

No One Knows the Day or Hour

32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. 34 It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. 35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— 36lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”

Jesus mentioned about the Sign of the time and the End of the age, as well as the Great Tribulation. He warned us and gave us hint to look after to. I shall say that many of the hints ans signs have already been fulfilled and is happening now! The most important thing is not to spend all your time speculating and wondering when will The Time come, like many other people do where they just merely focus on predicting the time….

The most important thing is What WE should do since Jesus has already told us so! Jesus warned us that it may come anytime and even the Son of God did not know the time! So why are we people even bother to predict and speculate when it’s The Time coming when Jesus himself (Son of God) do not know??!

Let us focus on something that really matter the most, something that will help us to prepare ourselves for that moment before it is TOO LATE!

#So what can WE do?? (just my opinion for what i should do)

1) MEDITATING the WORDS & UNDERSTAND what GOD want us to do.

2) Of Course… DOING it!

Just as James 1:22 said ” Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

With that, you need Consistency, Self-Discipline and a Passion for the Word.

3) Persevere and Stand Firm!!

3) The Ultimate Mission for Christians on earth – – – – Share the GOSPEL!! and bring people back to God’s Embrace where their soul shall be saved!

Mark – Chapter 12

The Pharisees: Is It Lawful to Pay Taxes to Caesar?

13 Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, to catch Him in His words.

14 When they had come, they said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and care about no one; for You do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?

15 Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?” But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.”

16 So they brought it. And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.”

17 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they marveled at Him.

# I am always amazed and in awe of how Jesus is able to counter-answer the questions asked by the scribes and pharisees which with the purpose to just testing Him and hope He will fall into the pit. His answer is always very wise and He got them think of the answer themselves by throwing back a question. HIS wisdom is what we mortal should always look after to!

The Greatest Commandment

29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.

30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’  This is the first commandment.

31 And the second, like it, isthis: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no other commandment greater than these.”

# It is often easier said than done… But i realize that once we follow these greatest commandments of God, you will witness great changes and impact in your life as well as other’s people life!! God’s wisdom is never to be undermined!

Beware of the Scribes
38 Then He said to them in His teaching, “Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces,

39 the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts,

40 who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”

# At times, shamefully… I realize i’m actually doing something similar like the scribe mentioned above. I did not do it sincerely but out of the fact that i want to show others that i’m a faithful Christian where often time i’m not. I pray that God will take away this hypocrisy and turn my heart to a pure and sincere one. Amen.
